Fluvi Alerts: Get Notified About Amazon Revenue Drops, Listing Issues and More
Set up Amazon seller alerts in Fluvi and find out about revenue drops, ACOS spikes, listing issues and stock problems the moment they happen.
On Amazon, small problems get expensive fast. A suspended listing, a hijacked buy box or an ad campaign burning through budget can cost thousands of dollars before anyone notices. Without alerts, you have to dig through reports and dashboards every day, and many issues are only discovered days or weeks after they start.
Fluvi Alerts solve this by emailing you as soon as a key metric moves or an important event happens on your account. In this guide, we explain how Fluvi's Amazon alerts work, how to set them up, and how to get the most out of them, whether you sell your own products or manage accounts for clients.
Two types of alerts: metrics and events
Fluvi's Amazon alerts fall into two categories:
- Metric alerts track numbers and KPIs, such as revenue, ad spend, TACOS or buy box percentage. You decide how much a metric needs to change, or what level it needs to reach, before you're notified.
- Event alerts fire when something specific happens on your account, such as an ASIN changing category, a listing issue appearing, or Amazon receiving fewer units than you shipped.
All available Amazon alerts
Metric alerts
| Area | Metrics you can track |
|---|---|
| Advertising | Ad spend, ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, ad clicks, ad impressions, ad orders, click-through rate (CTR), cost per click (CPC), ad conversion rate (CR) |
| Sales | Revenue, units sold, orders, average order value |
| Listing performance | Sales rank, buy box percentage |
| Inventory | Days until replenish, days until reorder, days until out of stock (FBA + 3PL), days until out of stock (FBA only) |
Event alerts
| Event | When it triggers |
|---|---|
| Account status change | Your account health rating changes |
| ASIN category change | Amazon moves an ASIN to a different category |
| ASIN dimension change | An ASIN's registered dimensions change, which can affect FBA fees |
| Branded ASIN content change | Any listing detail changes: images, title, bullet points, description or A+ content |
| Inbound shipment status change | An FBA inbound shipment moves to a new status |
| Listing issue change | A listing issue appears or changes, for example a suppressed or suspended listing |
| Order return | A customer returns an order |
| Shipment unit discrepancy | Amazon receives fewer units than you sent |
We add new metrics and events regularly, so check the Alerts page in Fluvi for the latest options.
How to set up an alert in Fluvi
Every alert has a scope and a list of recipients:
- Products: where relevant, apply the alert to your whole account or to individual products.
- Marketplaces: choose which Amazon marketplaces the alert covers.
- Recipients: add as many email addresses as you need, so the right people hear about each issue.
Conditions for metric alerts
For metric alerts, choose one of two conditions:
- Deviation: the metric changes by a set amount or percentage. You can trigger on increases, decreases or both. Example: alert me if revenue drops by more than 20%.
- Level: the metric crosses a specific value. Example: alert me if ACOS goes above 35%, or if days until out of stock falls below 30.
Next, choose what the current value is compared against:
- Previous period: compares against the same length of time just before, for example the last 7 days vs the 7 days before that.
- Trailing average: compares against the average over a longer window, which smooths out normal day-to-day swings.
The comparison period can be set from 1 to 90 days.
Settings for event alerts
Event alerts need no thresholds, because they trigger whenever the event happens. Choose which marketplaces to exclude, if any, and which email addresses should receive the alert.
Alerts for Amazon agencies
Agencies can create alerts for an individual client, or agency-wide alerts that apply to every client at once. Agency-wide alerts are a quick way to put a safety net under your whole portfolio, for example a listing issue alert across all clients. Client-level alerts let you tailor thresholds to each brand's size and goals, and send them to the account manager responsible.
Managing, pausing and testing alerts
Click the settings button to the right of an alert's title to open its menu. From there you can:
- Pause the alert by disabling it, for example during a planned promotion when big swings are expected.
- Delete the alert entirely.
- Send a test email to see exactly how the alert will look in your inbox.
Best practices for Amazon alerts
- Start with the alerts that protect revenue. Listing issue changes, account status changes and buy box percentage catch the problems that stop sales outright.
- Never run out of stock by accident. Set a level alert on days until out of stock with enough buffer to cover your supplier's lead time and FBA check-in time.
- Watch ad efficiency, not just spend. A level alert on ACOS or TACOS catches campaigns that keep spending while sales fall.
- Protect your listings. Turn on branded ASIN content change alerts to catch unauthorized edits to titles, images or A+ content, and ASIN dimension change alerts before they quietly raise your FBA fees.
- Recover lost inventory. Shipment unit discrepancy alerts tell you when to open a reimbursement case with Amazon while the shipment is still fresh.
- Use trailing averages for noisy metrics. Daily revenue and orders swing naturally. Comparing against a 14- or 30-day trailing average avoids false alarms.
- Tune thresholds after the first few weeks. Too many alerts and people stop reading them; too few and you miss problems. Adjust until every alert is worth acting on.
- Route alerts to the right person. Send ad alerts to your PPC manager and inventory alerts to whoever places purchase orders.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get notified if my Amazon listing is suspended?
Yes. A listing issue change alert emails you when a listing issue appears or changes, so you can fix it before it costs sales.
How do I get an alert when my Amazon sales drop?
Create a metric alert on revenue, units sold or orders. Choose a deviation condition, such as a 20% decrease, and compare against a previous period or a trailing average.
Can I set different alerts for each client?
Yes. Agencies can create alerts per client or agency-wide alerts that cover every client.
How are alerts delivered?
Alerts are sent by email, to as many addresses as you add to each alert.
